a report says:A 100-metre water slide is to be installed on a Derby street – after a similar slippery attraction in Bristol saw more than 90,000 people apply for a ride.

The slide will shoot hundreds of daredevils down Kipling Drive in Mickleover in a watery extravaganza that organisers hope will emulate its predecessor's success.

David Lewis, chairman of Our Mickleover, the group organising the event, said: "We saw the Bristol water slide and thought we could definitely do that.

"We have decided on Kipling Drive, which runs next to the Tesco, and have already applied for the road closure."
